The Committee
Doncaster RLFC Supports Trust is currently being run day to day by the interim committee. This committee is made up of:

Gary Fox, Chairman

I have been a regular supporter of the Dons since the early 1980's having first watched Rugby League at Tattersfield during the 1970's. Fondest memories include the promotion day at Batley and the away win at Saints the following season. Over the past 10 years my involvement with the Club has led to a number of activities including being one of the founding members and secretary of the Mallard Supporters Branch which ran from 2002 to 2007 and during the same period a regular contibutor to the Club's matchday programme. I am currently a Dons fans forum moderator.

Mick Lomax, Secretary

The first Dons game I saw was against Blackpool Borough in 1987. Favourite all time player, Audley Pennant, who always gave 100% and provided plenty of big hits. What supporter could ask for more! Greatest memory beating Batley to win promotion to the old Division 1 and beating Saint Helens in the first game of the following season. The game that I made myself hoarse was the memorable game at Fev with Stuart Cummings refereeing, using the term loosely. Funniest things, watching the stretcher bearers slip at Tattersfield whilst carrying a player, the goal posts falling over at Belle Vue and seeing Alex Murphy dance in frustration on the sidelines when we beat his fancied Huddersfield team in the promotion season. Disappointments, too many to recall, but possibly Jamie Bloem's banning and learning that we had lost Craig Harrison & Ellery Hanley on play off day last year.

Yvonne Brown, Treasurer

Long suffering wife of Big Baz, started watching rugby on TV, before I enjoyed watching it live. Started watching it in the 90`s and my most memorable game for me was on my birthday, watching Vila ( legs and thighs ) Matautia. To understand the game more I completed a coaching course with my son, who played academy for 3yrs and currently plays with Bentley Companions.

Barry Brown, Club Liason

Followed the Dons since 1981. Qualified as rugby coach and coached for three years at Tollbar with Kev Jones. Was involved with the Mallard supporters branch raising funds for the Dons academy. My son played for the academy for 3 years, he now plays for Bentley Good Companions and helps out with the Dons Scholarship. Joined the interim board of the new supporter trust to try and support the Dons through this hard time and raise funds to spend where the fans want to spend it on and to also be accountable for where we distribute the funds.

Darryl Hilton, Media and Marketing

May be better known to most as Jemmo. I have been watching the Dons religiously since the early 90’s when I was dragged kicking and screaming to my first game by my brother. I was hooked ever since. My favourite all time player is Alex Green, with whom I once had the honour of singing karaoke. In the past I have been involved with the clubs website and forum, as well editing “Who The Hell Was St.George Anyway?”, the worlds longest running rugby league fanzine.

Keeley Thompson, Membership Secretary

I have followed the Dons since the early 80’s attending my first game when I was 3 years of old. My favourite all time players are Audley Pennent and Vila Matautia, who always gave 100% and were awesome to watch. There have been many ups and more so downs over the years, but my fondest memories are being mascot when I was younger, the win to secure promotion at Batley and the following win against St Helens, and more recently the win against Batley to reach the Arriva Trains final and winning the play off final at Warrington. I have been involved in many supporters clubs and look forward to building the success of the Trust.

Bruce Horne, Board Member

Bruce attended his very first game in the early seventies, but became hooked on the Dons from 1978 onwards, top memory being the promotion winning game against Batley. Favourite player wearing the Dons colours is Tony Kemp closely followed by Sonny. Recent memories that stand out include the final at Warrington last season and a certain 30-0 drubbing of Hull KR at Craven Park a few seasons ago.I am also a Moderator on The Dons Rlfans Website. Hopes for the future include a successful rugby-league team that get's the population of Donny behind it.

Karl Grainger, Board member

Saw my first ever Dons game in the 80's when i was about 10 years old at Tattersfield against Halifax. Been one of the "diehards" now for about the last ten years or so.The final last year at Warrington was obviously a special day for all concerned at the club, but the 2 standout games for me in my time watching the dons for some reason are the semi final at Batley last year and a league game at Rochdale about 7 or 8 years ago.The fans reactions on these days were as if we had won the challenge cup! Priceless moments that you never forget! Also this year in Toulouse was a special occasion too, great bonding session with players, fans and coaching staff. Can i urge all Dons fans to get behind the trust and please support us.Lets help to get the club stable again and ensure we have a team to support in Doncaster.Come on you Dons!!

Scott Goddard, Board Member

I have followed the Dons since the early 80's and my favourite players of all time are Sonny Whakaru and Vila Matautia. The most memorable games that I have been to have got to be the win at Batley to earn promotion, the following seasons victory at St Helens and the Arriva Trains semi-final win against Batley and the victory in the final against Oldham.
